Obituary
Roger Arlo Graham, age 72, of Quincy, died on Thursday, August 4, 2022, at 4:35 am in Golden Good Shepherd Home, Golden, Illinois.
Roger was born on February 23, 1950 in Pittsfield, Illinois, the son of William Forrest and Mildred Marie Dulaney Graham. He married Chandra Joyce Willan on June 13, 1970, at Walnut Street Baptist Church in Louisville, KY. She survives.
Roger was a graduate of Quincy High School. He proudly served four years in the United States Navy, aboard the USS Coral Sea, during the Vietnam War. He had been employed at Harris Broadcast Corporation, and as an electronic technician at the Quincy Post Office, retiring after 36 years. In his spare time, Roger enjoyed fishing, playing golf, and woodworking. He loved vintage cars and had dreams of restoring his old truck and GTO.
Survivors in addition to his wife, Chandra, include two children, Laura (Ryan) Powers of Quincy, and Krista (Cori) Lueders of Bellflower, IL; four grandchildren, Lex and Lorelei Lueders, and Emma and Blake Powers; a brother, Larry (Phyllis) Graham of Quincy; a sister, Carolyn (Jim) Toedte of Columbiana, AL; and several nieces and nephews.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, William "Billy" (Patsy) Graham, and a sister, Mary (Russ) Bruenger.
Visitation: 9:00 to 11:00 am on Saturday August 13, 2022 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.
Services: 11:00 am on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, with Rev. Keith Ehresman officiating.
Burial: Greenmount Cemetery, Quincy, Illinois with military honors conducted by American Legion Post 37 and the United States Navy Honor Detail.
