Willie Gene Bunch, age 82, of Quincy, died on Thursday, June 9, 2022, at 3:52 pm at the University of Iowa Hospital., Iowa City, Iowa.

Willie was born July 14, 1939 in Oneida, Tennessee in the Smoky Mountains, the son of Cordis and Della Sieber Bunch. He married Patricia Hoffman in June of 1980 in Valdosta, Georgia. She preceded him in death on December 25, 2016.

Survivors include three children, Gary (Joanna) Bunch of Quincy, Willie Bunch, Jr. of Bainbridge, GA, and Della Bunch of Quincy; a step-daughter, Wendy (David) Thompson of Ohio; 10 grandchildren, Jessica, Adam, Lucas, Ragan, Matthew, Jason, Colleen, Steven, Sunny and Jessie; and a brother, Charlie (Linda) Bunch of OH; and several nieces and nephews.

Willie was a truck driver for over 50 years, traveling all across the United States. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and loved riding and working on his motorcycles. Willie also enjoyed fishing and horseback riding.

In addition to his wife, Willie was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Dawn Cunat, three brothers Cordis Bunch, Jr., Paul Bunch and Webb Bunch, and a sister, Bobby Hay.

Willie was cremated according to his wishes. No services are planned at this time.
