Catherine M. Reuschel , age 91, of Quincy, died on Monday, January 11, 2021 at 4:34 a.m. in Bradford Villa.

Catherine was born March 19, 1929 in Quincy, Illinois, the daughter of William H. and Mamie A. Taylor Holtman. She married Benjamin T. Reuschel on October 19, 1947 in Golden, Illinois.

Catherine lived in the Payson area for many years, then moved to the Moorman Research Farm, and later to Quincy in 1985. Catherine was living at Bradford Villa for the past four years with her husband. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and later at St. James Lutheran Church. Catherine loved taking care of her family and raising her children. She enjoyed spending time with her neighbors and friends. She was very social and loved playing cards.

Catherine is survived by her husband, Benjamin Reuschel; her son, Mark D. (Christine) Reuschel of Fowler, IL; two daughters, Rebecca S. (Kent) Muder of Twin Falls, ID; and Kristin B. (William) Humphrey of Quincy; five grandchildren, Michael (Kindall) Reuschel, Ben (Kyley) Reuschel, Jennifer (Josh) Wiechert, Eric (Amanda) Muder, and Erin Humphrey; and 8 great grandchildren, with one more on the way.

Catherine was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Carl R. and Billy T. Holtman.

Services: Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Lutheran Church with Rev. Marlin Rempfer officiating. If you plan on attending the service, please bring a mask.

Burial: Greenmount Cemetery, Quincy, Illinois

Visitation: Thursday, January 14, 20221 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at St. James Lutheran Church
