Chip was always a heart giving soul and generously shared these talents in his personal life and was most rewarded by working in restaurant service. The last several years he was self-employed cleaning homes for clients who became friends. His attention to detail in the homes and hearts of his clients brought them to trust and respect him and, many considered him part of their family.
He was a member of the Lutheran Church of St. John.
Chip enjoyed yardening and auctions. He especially loved talent shows like America's Got Talent, The Voice, and American Idol. He had recently started creating Snapchat stories and had quite a fan following.
Chip loved his pets and was known to re-home many a stray animal that needed to be rescued. His current dog Pluto will miss him terribly. We will all miss seeing his carefully dressed mannequin "Ilean" who was always there to greet/scare/make us giggle a bit from the couch when first entering his home.
Chip loved and was loved in return by so many people. He never knew a stranger and would help anyone who needed his help. He was a deeply devoted and beloved partner, son, brother, uncle and friend and will be greatly missed. Anyone who knew him knows that there was and will be no one quite like our "Chipper".
No services are planned at this time. A celebration of his life will be held tentatively March 27th, 2021. Details to be posted on his Facebook page.
Memorial Donations can be made to Gift of Hope or the Quincy Humane Society.

Chip and Tony were the first and only neighbors that befriended me when I moved to the neighborhood. After my little girl passed they were a front porch chat and always waved. Tony, your friendship is cherished, I have your six Brother!
Becky, I am so, so sorry to learn of Chip’s passing.
You and Chip were always so kind in sitting Scott for us. I recall Chip washing Scott’s mouth with soap after hearing some naughty language, haha!
May our Lord comfort you in the difficult time.
My deepest sympathy to Chip's family in your loss of your loved one. Such a beautiful obit. I'm so sorry for your loss, Tony, after all these years together. Bless the family during this very difficult time in their lives. Give Pluto a giant hug too. He will mourn also. Be comforted by the fact that he was such a giver.
Chip you have held such a sweet place in my heart since the day we met over 20 years ago. Your smile and humor will be missed greatly, but your memory will live on forever. May God hold your loved ones close and bring peace that only he can provide. Until we meet again my friend ...

Tony and family,
My heart goes out to you and I am so sorry for your loss. I always love how Chip would always smile brightly and give me a hug. He was so sweet and loving. It made me smile when I read the obituary about the mannequin. Sweet memories will live on. He will always be with you in memories and in your heart ❤.
Tony and Family,
We are so sad to hear of Chip's passing. He always seemed to have a smile on his face and we were glad to see you two when we were out and about. One time at the Patio we wanted an ice cream drink after dinner and couldn't decide which one. Chip asked if we liked banana splits and made a "grown up" version that was out of this world. He had a way of making life special.

Tony and Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I will always remember the good times we had together while visiting Quincy and especially all the great cooking that Chip would do for us. Chips contagious smile and kindness will forever be in my heart.
Chip and Tony was my neighbor across the street for many years! They welcomed us into the neighborhood with open arms and the best neighbors I've ever had. He was always a hoot and u never knew what kind of comment he would have! Lol He taught me a lot about plants and yard flowers and help us make our home nice in the process with his advice. He'd always say if ur yard looks nice I benefit ! They always set on their front porch with a great view of ours. He said the way our window and porch roof was it looked like a smily face. He was dearly loved by all our girls and families as well and there will be a part of our heart missing now! RIP my dear friend!! - Karen Lewis
