SHARE (grief support for the loss of a child)
There are two different SHARE groups that meet in Quincy and focus on different types of child loss. Please see the descriptions above each to determine which group you should attend.
The SHARE group for the loss of a child at any age, under any circumstances:

Left Behind / Moving Forward
Left Behind / Moving Forward is a support group for those who have suffered a loss by suicide. Meeting are held monthly.
3rd Monday from 6:00 -7:00 pm

This support group is provided by the Adams County Suicide Prevention Coalition, a joint project between Blessing Hospital and Transitions of Western Illinois.
Grief Share
Madison Park Christian Church hosts Grief Share groups that run in specific sessions.

National SIDS and Infant Death Program Support Center: provides research, education, and support for families dealing with SIDS.
Bereaved Parents USA: a nationwide organization designed to aid and support bereaved parents and their families.
Healing Hearts for Bereaved Parents: offers understanding, suggestions for coping, support, friendship, and hope to all parents who are struggling with grief.
The Compassionate Friends: supports families who have experienced the death of a child.
SHARE Pregnancy & and Infant Loss Support: provides support to those mourning the tragic death of a baby through early pregnancy loss, stillbirth or newborn death.
Dougy Center: The Dougy Center provides a safe place for children, teens, young adults and their families who are grieving a death to share their experiences
Fernside: A club for kids and teens dealing with death
Center for Suicide Prevention: A site focused on education to save lives through suicide prevention by equipping people with the knowledge and skills to respond to those at risk of suicide.
Suicide Awareness Voices of Education: A site with information on suicide warning signs, prevention as well as resources for survivors.
Suicide Prevention in College: A guide to help offer hope and help for those who are experiencing suicidal thoughts.
Adams County Suicide Prevention Hotline: A prevention hotline and resources for youth and adults.
