Ever since I was a kid I always loved the public library. It is an awesome community resource that provides both education and entertainment to people of all ages for little to no cost. While most of the library’s expenses are covered by tax dollars, extra programs are funded through private donations.
As always, if you have a local charity you would like to suggest for our GIVE BACK Donation Program, please email Will Spear (email@example.com) with your suggestions.
What is the goal of the Quincy Public Library?
The Quincy Public Library provides its patrons with materials, facilities, and programs to meet lifelong learning, cultural and recreational needs.
How does the library have an impact on the Quincy area?
The Quincy Public Library helps to build a stronger community by providing early literacy learning, access to digital resources and training, assistance with personal, educational, and employment research, delivery of material to classrooms and to home-bound individuals, quality recreational activities, and shared resources in a variety of formats at a low cost to citizens.
What is your favorite part about being involved with the library?
My favorite part is seeing how much people enjoy, benefit from and support their Library!
How can people get involved or support the Quincy Public Library?
The Library belongs to everyone in the community and it improves with use and personal engagement. The Library is primarily funded by property taxes and general funds from the city, so people can let their representatives know how much the Library means to them. Grants, donations and partnerships support special projects and needs beyond the normal budget, so they are important too!
