Thelma Myota Crouch, 70, 820 No. 10th, Quincy, died Thursday, December 14, 2000 at 6:40 am in her home .
She was born December 31, 1929 in New Canton, Illinois, the daughter of Arlie and Francis Cleo Saxbury Allensworth. On March 26,1949 she married Paul Russell Crouch in Quincy, IL. He preceded her in death on December 13, 1994.
She was baptized in the First Union Congregational Church, and was employed by Davis Cleaver and later as a cook at Quinsippi Nursing Home. Thelma loved cooking, spending time with her grandchildren and at the camp on the river.
Survivors include children, Linda Reinold and her husband Ronald, Quincy, IL; Douglas Crouch and his wife Kathy, Quincy, IL; stepson, Roger Crouch, Key West, FL; grandchildren, Tonya Walker and her husband Jerry, Quincy; Adam Crouch, Quincy; step grandchildren, Kim Adamson and her husband Mark, Wheatridge, CO; Brack Crouch, CO; great grandchild Brendan Walker, Quincy; brothers & sisters, Shirley Mueller, Quincy; Dora Schroder, LaGrange, MO; , Kay Mason, St. Charles, M O; Nancy McKinney, Springfield, IL ; Kenneth Allensworth, Quincy; Phillip Allensworth, Joilet, IL; Larry Allensworth, Joliet, IL; Wayne Garner, Maywood, MO.
She also was preceded in death by her parents, a stepson Donald and a brother Arlie.
Funeral Services will be Monday, December 18, 2000 at 9:30 am in the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, Rev. Scott Snider officiating. Burial in Forest Grove Cemetery, Canton, Missouri. The family will receive friends from 4-7 pm Sunday evening at the funeral home at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Blessing Foundation for Hospice.
