Rosamary Apple, age 92, of Quincy, died Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at 8:00 am in Illinois Veterans’ Home.

RosaMary Apple | Hansen-Spear Funeral Home - Quincy, ILRosamary was born November 19, 1925 in Wayland, MO, a daughter of Louis Ralph and Minnie Ruth Buschling. She married Ross Evan Apple on September 26, 1947 in Wayland, MO. He preceded her in death on May 22, 2015.

Rosamary had worked at Swift’s Dairy, where she met Ross. She had also worked for 20 years as a trimmer at Sheller Globe in Keokuk, IA. Rosamary was a great aficionado of chocolate, especially Hershey’s. Rosamary was a member of Melrose Chapel.

Survivors include: a daughter: Erica (Joe) Richards of Hampton, VA; three sons-in-law: Roger Hull of Quincy; Randy Hull of Payson, IL; and Don McAvoy of Washington, IA; eight grandchildren: Jennifer Hull of Quincy; Sara (Doug) Franklin of Springfield, IL; Brent Hull of Springfield, IL; Melissa Hull of Payson, IL; Kimberly (Matt) Talken of Springfield, IL; Ryan (Kasey) Hull of Quincy; and Emma and Evan Richards of Hampton, VA; nine great grandchildren: Logan, Nathan, and Morgan Martin; Dominic and Samantha Franklin; Elijah and Elyse Talken; and Angel and Dallas Hull; a brother, Ralph Louis (Rosemarie) Buschling of Wayland, MO; a sister, Emmajean Riney of Punta Gordo, FL; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her husband, Rosamary was preceded in death by her parents; three daughters: Linda Hull, Barbara Hull, and Sandra McAvoy; and a brother, George Buschling.

Services: 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, with Rev. Danyelle Trexler officiating.

Burial: Evergreen Cemetery, Camp Point, Illinois

Visitation: 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home

Memorials: American Cancer Society, Alzheimer’s Association, or Illinois Veterans’ Home Activity Fund
