Rebecca Lynn Augspurg

Rebecca Lynn Augspurg, age 64, of 2725 Kings Pointe NW, Quincy died Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at 9:50 pm in Blessing Hospital.

Rebecca was born May 4, 1948 in Quincy, Illinois, the daughter of Kenneth and Margaret Hessing Hoener. She married Dan Augspurg on January 7, 1967 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Palmyra, MO.

She attended St. Francis Grade School and graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1966. She was a secretary for Professional Marketing Services and was a Customer Service Manager at Walmart for 11 years. She enjoyed flying with her husband, motorcycling, horseback riding, golf, and gardening. Most of all Rebecca enjoyed visiting her grandchildren. Rebecca was a Miami Heat fan. She attended St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church.

Survivors in addition to her husband include: two daughters, Michelle Noreuil of Hopedale, IL, and Carrie Jo (Erik) Flesner of LaPrairie, IL; seven grandchildren, Arron Augspurg, Abbey Hibbert, Sam Hibbert, Alexis Moore, Connor Noreuil, Madilyn Noreuil, and Chase Flesner; sisters and brothers, Jennifer (Richard) Blivens, Dennis (Tammy) Hoener, Cynthia (Gary) Jones, Jeffrey (Christina) Hoener, Mark (Kathy) Hoener, all of Quincy, and many nieces and nephews.

Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Tracey Augspurg, a brother, Steve Hoener, and a sister, Pamela Mast

Services: 10:00 am Tuesday, December 11, 2012, in Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with Father Don Blaeser officiating.

Burial: Calvary Cemetery

Visitation: Monday 4:00 – 7:00 pm at Hansen-Spear

Memorials: Blessing Foundation for Hospice or Blessing Skilled Nursing

  4. I was saddened to hear of Becky’s passing. We bonded many years ago, living in Grandview and having toddlers the same age. We shared a lot & I admired her compassion, insight, and willingness to be a friend .. She was very family foused and I admire that. May she rest in peace with God and may her family feel comfort and function.

  7. I am so sorry for your loss. Tracey was a special friend to me and I use to see Becky a lot when we went to her house as kids. It was always great to catch up with her when I saw her at Walmart. She will be missed. I hope it gives you peace that Tracey and Becky will be together. I will keep you in my prayers.
