  1. I had hoped to go to Nona’s funeral today, but the weather has made me think it is more prudent to stay indoors.
I served on the board of the Homemakers with Nona for several years, and was impressed by her concern for seniors who wanted to stay in their homes when ill health made that difficult. She started that work here in Quincy. Today I hear ads on St. Louis radio for a nation-wide organization doing the same thing.
I hoped to touch base with some of the Homemakers group, but many of them may be making the same decision I am making, to stay home today.
May God bless her for her love for the least of her brothers and sisters.
