Marilyn J. Randolph, age 88, Quincy, died Thursday, August 3, 2017 at 2:10 a.m. in St. Vincent’s Home.
She was born April 10, 1929 in Mendon Township, Illinois, the daughter of John and Lula Seward Swunk. On August 21, 1948, she married Forrest B. Randolph in Quincy, IL. He preceded her in death on July 3, 1998.
Mrs. Randolph and her husband came to Quincy from Joliet where she had been a beautician. Then she and her husband opened Bill and Marilyn’s Tap. She was a member of Melrose United Methodist Church, Ladies’ Auxiliary of V.F.W., and a lifetime member of the Illinois Retail Liquor Association.
Survivors include a daughter, Tonia (William) Bloom, San Jose, CA; and a very special person in her life, who was like a daughter, Jody Daffern, Quincy.
She also was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Services: 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 7, 2017 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with Rev. Danyelle Ditmer officiating.
Burial: Randolph Cemetery, Woodville, Illinois.
