Jeri Lynn Scheufele, age 53, of Quincy, died Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at 5:41 am in her home, after courageously battling four bouts of cancer.

Jeri Scheufele | Hansen-Spear Funeral Home ~ Quincy, IllinoisJeri was born February 14, 1964 in Quincy, Illinois, the daughter of Ralph “Red”, Sr. and Karola Hassfurther Scheufele.

Jeri lived for her children and grandchildren, and she especially enjoyed taking them shopping. Jeri will always be remembered for her love of the outdoors.

Survivors include: two children, Erica (Donnie) Sapp and Casey Lierly both of Quincy; three grandchildren, Breahna, Rylan, and Kynley Sapp; her mother, Karola Faulconer of Quincy; a brother, Ralph Jr. (Sherry Hills) Scheufele of Quincy; two sisters, Carolyn (Steve) Campbell and Chris (Lobo) Kelly both of Quincy, a special friend, companion, and Jeri’s farmer, Bernie Ormond of Liberty, IL, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jeri was preceded in death by her father, and her step father, Lyman “Bud” Faulconer

Services: 3:00 pm Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, with Rev. Kory Hollensteiner officiating.

Burial: Greenmount Cemetery, Quincy, Illinois

Visitation: 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm, Thursday August 10, 2017 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home

  1. So sorry to hear of Jeri’s passing. I met the family many years ago when my husband and her Dad worked at Electric Wheel and we spent many good times together. R.I.P. beautiful angel. You will be missed!

  6. I will miss you dearly Jeri! You were like a second mom to me. I will cherish all the memories of you and the fun times we had. You were beautiful inside and out. Always full of laughter and never complained. You always took pride in your grandchildren and enjoyed life. I know you will be with Erica as you are now her guardian angel. I love you Jeri. I know you are looking down and would want us to celebrate your life and that is what we will do.

  8. So sorry to here this I was her babysitter in the seventies she was a doll a delight to be around. My parents were best friend with her parents

  10. Jeri was a sister in law and always will be a sister we all loved. Always had a smile on her face, no matter what her health was. A strong fighter! I don’t think I could have done it. Jeri loved her daughter and grandchildren unconditionally, with her whole being. She will be missed by everyone she knew. I have no doubt Jeri is going to be a guardian Angel for her Mom, Sisters, Erica and Grandchildren. Rest In Peace. Until we see each other again. Love and Prayers to Jeri’s family.
