Frances “Rochelle” Stanbridge

Frances “Rochelle” Clinging Stanbridge, age 67, of 1385 N. 1003rd Ln., Quincy died Sunday, February 17, 2013, at 6:57 pm in Blessing Hospital.

Rochelle was born September 28, 1945 in Quincy, IL, the daughter of George and Velna “Toby” Parris Ballard. She married Dale Clinging in 1960 in Palmyra, MO. She married Robert Stanbridge on October 24, 2009 in Plainville, IL. He survives.

She was a graduate of Quincy High School and attended John Wood Community College. She was employed for 20 years by Scott Nozawa Photography, and then for 10 years with Blessing Hospital until her retirement. She enjoyed reading, traveling, gardening, going to the casino and her grandchildren and all their activities. She loved her precious pet dog, Tobi.

Survivors in addition to her husband, Robert include two sons, Jeff (Beth) Clinging of Mount Sterling, IL and Chad (Stephanie) Clinging of Fowler, IL; three grandchildren, Shelby Clinging of Fowler, IL and Lindsey and Collin Clinging of Mt. Sterling, IL; three step children, 10 step grandchildren: two brothers, Daryl (Sally) Ballard and Bill (Georgann) Ballard of Quincy; a sister, Geri (Bill) Hale of St. Louis, MO, and a special friend, Mary Ward.

Rochelle was preceded in death by her grandchildren, Cassaundra “Cassie” and Chandler Clinging; her father, George Ballard and her mother, Velna “Toby” Williams and her step dad, Earl Williams.

Services: 10:00 am Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home

Burial: Burton Cemetery, Burton, Illinois

Visitation: 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Wednesday February 20, 2013 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home

Memorials: Quincy Humane Society or the Blessing Hospital Home Care
