Charles Dale “Chuck” Foster, age 46, of Quincy, IL, died Monday, March 4, 2013 at 3:36 pm in Blessing Hospital.

Charles was born January 5, 1967 in Quincy, Illinois, the son of Herbert Lester and Ruthie Pearl Smith Foster. He married Jennifer Brunenn on September 11, 1993 in Quincy, Illinois. She survives.

Chuck was raised in the Baptist faith. He was a 1985 graduate of Quincy High School. He was employed for 25 years at Titan Wheel Corporation. Chuck was a member of the Rocky Point Club.

Chuck had a great sense of humor. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. He enjoyed golfing, camping and loved spending “special Papa” time with his granddaughters.

Survivors in addition to his wife, Jennifer, include a son, Casey (Jessica) Brunenn of Quincy; two granddaughters, Ryleigh Ann and Ellie Gene Brunenn, both of Quincy; his parents, Herb and Ruthie Foster, his father- and mother-in-law, Dennis and Elaine Brunenn of Quincy; four brothers, Jim (Sandy) Foster, Wayne (Cleo Lamb) Foster, Donnie (Cindy) Foster, and Jeff (Debbie) Foster, all of Quincy; a brother-in-law, Marty Beck of Mendon, IL; a sister-in-law, Denise Buckner of Quincy; aunts and uncles; numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins; and his friends that were as close as brothers.

Chuck was preceded in death by his grandparents and a sister, Terri Beck.

Celebration of Life: 11:00 am Saturday (March 9, 2013) in the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with Pastor Brian Hess officiating.

Inurnment: New Providence Cemetery, Ursa, Illinois

Visitation: 9:00 to 11:00 am Saturday (March 9, 2013) at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.

  2. So many fun memories with my cousin “Chuckles”. Your memorial was a testament of the legacy youve left behind – a beautiful life and hundreds of friends and who love you. We shall see each other again one day. You are loved. Always been loved and never not loved.

  3. To Jen and the Foster Family. My thoughts and prayers have been with you. Hoping memories and laughs help the sadness. Its been many years since I have seen Chuck. The first time I met him, he was doing a Tim Conway Impression of Dorf, on a hood of a car. I knew then he was the comedian of the group! Chuck made lots laugh and he will be missed!

    I am sorry we couldn’t make it to the visitation or the Memorial, but please know we are thinking about you all. Chuck is a great person and will never be forgotten. He provided laughs and love to many. If any of you need anything at all, please do not hesitate to call.

    When I moved to Quincy, I met you all through my work (Glenayre) & Jaycees and mutual interests (Harleys & Racing). You accepted me as Family and I considered Chuck & Jen as my Brother & Sister. I am deeply saddened & shocked by Chuck’s passing. I know God has his reasons for what he does, though we don’t always see it.
    I sorry I am not able to be with you at this time in your hour of sorrow, but know that I am praying for you all. I will see you all as soon as circumstances allow it. I love you all with all of my being and will see you soon.
