Brandon Stone

Brandon Scott Stone, age 32, of Quincy, died on Sunday, November 4, 2018, at 10:49 am in Blessing Hospital.

Brandon was born December 4, 1985 in Bryan, Texas, the son of Jimmie G. and Betty Freeman Stone. He married the love of his life, Alexandra “Allie” Stone, on June 8, 2018 in Quincy, Illinois. She survives.

Brandon was a 2004 graduate of Quincy High School. He loved being a chef and his career saw him at various Quincy restaurants including: One, Jorge the Crook’s, Spring Lake Country Club, On the Rail and most recently at the Red Light Bar and Grill.

Brandon enjoyed playing video games, watching “The Office”, and going fishing with his dad. He was a huge sports fan with an affinity for Texas teams: the Houston Astros, Dallas Cowboys, and the Texas A&M “Aggies”. Brandon also enjoyed concerts, especially if he could see Tool, his favorite band.

Brandon’s passion as a chef followed him home where he enjoyed dabbling with various recipes involving his meat smoker. He loved his “bird babies”, a parakeet, Titan and his cockatiel, Keenan. He was also quite fond of his dog, Bentley. Above all else, Brandon cherished spending time with his family and friends as they were the most important part of his life.

  1. My deepest condolences to all. Betty, my heart aches for you. I know words can’t help the hurt. But I’m sending my love and prayers.

  2. I remember the day mom went into labor with you. It was a school day and I was constantly asking the teacher if I could call the hospital to ask if you were here yet. You were the bestest birthday present ever….a gift that will never be topped. I’m soooo happy that you and Allie found each other and you guys were making such wonderful memories as newlyweds. You’ve touched so many lives and you will not be forgotten. Gone way too soon. Give Dad, Grams, Nana and Uncle Kenny hugs from me. They’re lucky…they’ve got you around to cook now.
    Love you little brother xxooxx

  3. Brandon, a bright light and a great friend. Always keeping me in the know when it came to the coolest gadgets and games for Avery (keeping me cool in the eyes of a 9 year old!). You and Allie have been in my heart. Sending you love on the other side.

  4. Oh my sweet husband,
I will never forget our life of being messy together or even just us sitting next to each other on our phones and talking about our day.
I’ll always remember our first time we met at One after talking for months daily on the phone and I “fell” into you off the step. Words can not describe how much I miss going home and watching Netflix together. Brandon, you’re home to me and I am so glad you showed me what it’s like to be loved by such a true, kind, and loyal man. You showed me what love is and I am so lucky for that.
    Forever loving you babe,
    -Babe

My father was a huge St. Louis Cardinal’s fan.  They helped with everything to make it a St. Louis Cardinal’s funeral.
