Billie A. Martin , age 70, of Payson, died Friday, September 6, 2013, at 8:55 pm in Blessing Hospital.

Billie A. Martin | Hansen-Spear Funeral Home - Quincy, IllinoisBillie was born June 25, 1943 in Quincy, Illinois, the daughter of John Daniel and Helen Irene Tournear. She married Richard Martin October 19, 1986 in Palmyra, MO. He survives. She had previously married Bobby Jones in December, 1963 in Battle Creek, MI.

She was a 1961 graduate of Unity High School in Mendon. She had been a clerk at the Hotel Quincy and a dietary aide in local nursing homes. Billie volunteered at the Salvation Army and loved watching her grandchildren grow up. She also enjoyed cooking and baking, especially French toast, cookies, homemade cinnamon rolls, apple and pumpkin pies.

Survivors include her husband, Richard Martin of Payson, IL, her first husband, Bobby Jones of New London, MO, six children, Diana (Allen) York of Davenport, IA, Adam Jones of Quincy, Tara (Joseph) Bullock of Payson, IL, Candie Weyant of Quincy, Erin (Travis) Kalista of Quincy, and Richard “Richie” (fiancé, Carla Chapman) Martin, Jr. of Payson; 16 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild on the way; 3 brothers, Truman Tournear, John (Charlotte) Tournear, and Leonard (Sue) Tournear all of Quincy, a sister, Sandra (Timothy Walker) of Marblehead, IL, 2 brothers-in-law, Edward (Amy) Martin and Timothy Martin, both of Quincy, a sister-in-law, Tammy (Raymond) Mabie, an uncle, Allen Tournear and 4 aunts, Mildred and Norma all of Texas and Inez and Alice Tournear both of Quincy and numerous nieces and nephews.

Billie was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, sister, Debra Murfin, son Ethan Allen Martin, two grandsons Chance Raines-Jones and Cory, and aunts and uncles

Services: 10:00 am Thursday, September 12, 2013 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, with Rev. Steve Disseler officiating.

Burial: Greenmount Cemetery

Visitation: Wednesday (Sept 11, 2013) from 4 – 7 pm at Hansen-Spear

Memorials: Grandchildren’s Education Fund or for funeral expenses
