Beverly Elliott, age 55, of Quincy, died Tuesday, October 2, 2018, at 11:50 am in her home.

Beverly Elliott | Hansen-Spear Funeral Home - Quincy, ILBeverly was born January 5, 1963, in Louisiana, MO the daughter of John and Shirley Turnbaugh Elliott.

Beverly worked as a Registered Nurse for various hospitals and nursing homes. She enjoyed listening to R & B music and watching classic television shows. She loved spending time with friends and family, most of all, her grandchildren.

Survivors include: four children, DeLaun (Stephanie Blackwell) Elliott of Quincy, Felicia (Derry) Salter of Engelwood, CO, Natasha (Chris) Kelly of Peoria, IL, and Kevin Dewitt Scott of Quincy; seven grandchildren: Marquis Gibbons, Zalen and Zaranna Powell, Eli, Evan, and Alana Kelly, and Carson Scott;  two sisters, Brenda VanHooser and Kristi Freeman of Bowling Green, MO, and an aunt, Debbie Goodwin, of Bowling Green, MO.

Beverly was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Turnbaugh, a granddaughter, Belicia Elliot, and two brothers, John and Chad Elliott.

  1. God rest your soul. I remember so plainly Beverly jumping on that red bouncey thing, when we were neighbors as kids. She has gone home. Prayers to her family. So sorry. Gone to soon.

  5. I’m going to miss her so much! It doesn’t seem real to me. She was my sister in life and for always. I’ll miss teasing you just to get that full blown reaction and I wasn’t happy till I heard it ! “ Oh ok you just wait till the next time I see you!!” The next time I seen her I was meet with a hug and told how much she loved me !! I already miss her and will be lost without her in my life here on earth . But I know the next time I see her I will be greeted with the same big hug and told how much she loved me. Rest In Peace my Sister , My Friend one day I’ll see you again … I love you too 💔

  9. I loved you in life and ill love u in death too! You were like a sister to me and always had my back. You accepted Michael as your own child. You loved him as your own. I am going to miss you in so many ways! I am so sorry that I didn’t come by and see you before you went to Heaven! I love u Beverly with all of my heart! Rest in peace! We will see each other again!
