Betty Ann Felten, age 92, of Quincy, died Thursday, October 4, 2018, at 5:35 am in Good Samaritan Home.

Betty Ann Felten | Hansen-Spear Funeral Home - Quincy, IllinoisBetty was born May 23, 1926 in Kewanee, Illinois, the daughter of Ralph and Nellie Myers Stinson. She married Harold John Felten on May 29, 1949. He preceded her in death on December 10, 2012.

She was raised in Kewanee and graduated from Wethersfield High School in 1944. After her marriage to Harold, they lived in Kewanee until 1960, when they moved to Quincy.

Betty was a housewife and stay at home mother after starting their family. Prior to that, she worked as a secretary at Wethersfield High School. She had been a member of the Preceptor Gamma Sigma, a social sorority of Beta Sigma Phi and the Quincy City Club. She attended St. James Lutheran Church. Betty enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, reading, playing bridge, and computer games. She was also an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.

Survivors include her four children, John Robert (Diana) Felten of Fowler, IL, Jacquelyn (George) Witt of Mendon, IL, Michael (Carey) Felten of Mt. Sterling, IL, and Jill Roettger of Troy, MO; seven grandchildren, Courtney, Ryan (Denna), Corey, and Drew (fiancé Emma) Witt, Kyle and Colton Felten, and Taylor Roettger; and two great grandchildren, Corbin and Adaline; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Betty was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Jacqueline Anderson and her husband Jack, and Phyllis Manthe and her husband Roy, a son-in-law, Gary Roettger; and a brother-in-law, Robert Felten and his wife Beverly.

Services: 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 8, 2018 at St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, with Rev. Marlin Rempfer officiating.

Burial: Bluff Hall Cemetery, Payson, Illinois

Visitation: 3:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday, October 7, 2018 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorial donations be made to St. James Lutheran Church or the Good Samaritan Home Foundation.
