Allie Mae Bemis was born on February 17, 2013 and was called to Heaven on February 17, 2013. She is the daughter of Zachary and Jeri Bemis of Quincy, Illinois.

She looked exactly like we thought she would, absolutely beautiful. We know she is in Heaven sitting on her great-grandparents’ laps. She will always be our little angel and she is loved dearly by all of her family.

Survivors include her mother and father Jeri and Zachary Bemis of Quincy, grandparents Glenn and Dawn Bemis of Quincy and Jerry and Sharon Hickey of Quincy. Aunts and Uncles Emily Bemis of Moline, Abbey Bemis of Quincy, Mark and Shannon Hickey of Mendon, and Jason and Jenny Hickey of Boyton Beach, Florida. Great grandparents are Beverly Bemis of Quincy and Marge Wheeler of Wisconsin.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandfathers, Glenn H. Bemis and Dr. Joseph Wheeler on her father’s side.  On her mother’s side she was preceded in death by Henry and Marilyn Hickey and Harry and Reva Samios, her great-grandparents.

Visitation and services will be private with family through Hansen-Spear Funeral Home. Services will be conducted by Jerry Harris from The Crossing and Father Duc Pham from St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church.

  4. First my heart goes out to you and family for your loss. My daughter experienced this 8 years ago and is trying to get an “Angel of Hope” in Palmyra. When the time is ready google Angel of Hope Palmyra on the internet it will explain. This is a wonderful experience to remember our loved little angels and be with families that have experienced the same, it is a beginning of healing. Again prayers to you.

  6. Zach & Jeri our heart are absolutely broken for you both. The pain, anger, frustration, etc. that you must be going through is very real and only imagining what it must feel like is a weight we cannot bear. As a family, we are praying for you both. Things are not okay in this world and they won’t be until the Lord returns. We pray the peace that passes all understanding fills your minds and hearts; that the love of God would heal all wounds.
