Dorothy Post, age 74, of 1228 N. 7th St., died Friday, May 30, 2008 at
2:57 pm in Blessing Hospital. She was born January 31, 1934 in Clayton, Illinois the daughter of Loren and Margaret Herren Shepherd. Dorothy moved to Quincy from Clayton in 1983. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of St. John. Survivors include 3 daughters, Priscilla Slater and husband David, Patricia Heck and Pansy Knight and husband Michael, all of Quincy; a son, Jay Post and wife Debbie of Golden, IL; 16 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and a brother, Donald Shepherd and wife Verna of Clayton, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Rosalee Alford. Graveside Services: 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 2, 2008, at Greenmount Cemetery with the Rev. Harold J. Bender, Jr. officiating. Visitation: Monday from 12 noon to 1:45 p.m. at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.
