Dorothy Mae Frese, age 84, of 9520 Broadway, died Saturday, May 10, 2008 at
5:27 p.m. in the Illinois Veterans Home. She was born August 21, 1923 in Knox City, Missouri the daughter of Willie T. and Blanch Goodwin Parrish. On November 23, 1946 she married Robert Edward Frese in Quincy. He preceded her in death June 29, 1998. She was a homemaker and had worked in the fabric department at Ben Franklin Store. She was a member of St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church. Survivors include her son Michael L. Frese of Quincy, 3 grandchildren Mathew Frese, Zachary Creasy and Abigael Frese, all of Quincy, and a sister, June Young and her husband Robert, Quincy. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Debra S. Frese, a son Robert E. Frese, and two sisters, Geraldine Duncan and Beulah Graham. Services: 9:30 am Wednesday prayers at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home followed by a 10:00 am funeral mass at in St Francis Solanus Catholic Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
