| Gary S. Durst, age 61, of 1521 Maple,
died Thursday, March 13, 2008 at 9:00 am in his home. Gary was born March 29, 1946 in Quincy, Illinois the son of Samuel an  d
Mildred Gray Durst. On May 29, 1965 he married Glenda Kaye Zimmerman in
Maywood, Missouri. She survives.He was a graduate of LaGrange High School. He worked at Selby Implement Company for 42 years, where he was a mechanic and then was the Service Manager. He was a member of the South Union Baptist Church in Maywood. Gary loved to garden and grill on his Weber grills. He also collected toy tractors and had restored a 1957 John Deere 720 tractor. Survivors also include a son, Doug Durst and his wife Sharon of Quincy, IL; a grandson, Austin Durst of Quincy; his mother, Mildred Schone of Quincy, 5 brothers and sisters; Joan Durham and her husband Roger of Kearney, MO, Debra Campbell and her husband David of Washington, IL, Daniel Durst of Chicago, IL, Jim Durst and his wife Debra of Quincy, Lori Hurley and her husband Todd of Quincy, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father. Services: 11 am Monday at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with the Dr. Jay Stinson officiating. Burial will be in Quincy Memorial Park.
