He was born July 10, 1931 in Red Oak, Iowa the son of Russell L. and Corrine Luella Hadden Adams. He married Sally Diane Hrudika in Quincy. She survives.

He was a graduate of Quincy High School, University of Illinois and University of Illinois Law School. Donald was a former States Attorney for Adams County, a former City Attorney for Quincy, and a former Liquor Commissioner for the State of Illinois. He also operated own private practice. Donald was a former member of the Elks.

In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, Steve R. Adams of Cincinnati, OH; a grandson, Ulysses Samuel Adams of Cincinnati, OH; a brother, William Adams of San Diego, CA; and a sister, Susan Kaiser of San Diego, CA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a daughter, Elizabeth Rose Adams.

Services: Wednesday, March 12, 2008, at 9:00 a.m. at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home. Burial will be in Quincy Memorial Park.

Visitation: Tuesday, March 11 from 4-6 p.m. at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.
