She was born December 19, 1918 in Palmyra, Missouri the daughter of Joseph and Ella Plymate Kroeger. On November 2, 1957 she married Robert W. Jahn in Springfield, Illinois. He preceded her in death on June 17, 1994.

She graduated from Palmyra High School and attended Gem City Business College in Quincy, Illinios. She was a retired Executive Secretary and had worked for the Gardner-Denver Company in Quincy, IL, Chicago, IL and Dallas, TX and retired from Joy Manufacturing.

She was a member of Church of St. Peter and the Quincy Women's City Club. She was a former member of Lake Forest Country Club, Lake St. Louis, MO, and St. Patrick Catholic Church, Wentzville, MO. She enjoyed playing gold, bridge and visiting relatives and friends.

Survivors include a sister, Dorothy Cosgrove of Hamilton, IL; a sister-in-law, Helen Kroeger of Hamilton, IL; four nieces, Gerri Pitt and husband Russell of Hamilton, IL, Susan Kroeger of Hamilton, IL, and two nieces of Fulton, MO; two nephews, Larry Kroeger and wife Monnett of Boerne, TX, and Steve Kroeger and wife Diana of Keokuk, IA; five great nieces and nephews; seven great-great nieces and nephews; and a good friend and neighbor Phyllis Metzger.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Wayne Kroeger and Raymond J. Kroeger, and a great nephew, Tim Stevenson.

Services: 9:30 am Prayer Service Friday, June 20, 2008 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home followed by a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at Church of St. Peter, Quincy, with the Father Dan Bergbower officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Quincy.

Visitation: 4-7 pm Thursday, June 19, 2008 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with a wake service at 6:30 p.m.
