She was born September 17, 1938 in Farmington, Iowa the daughter of William Edgar and Bertha Irene Doud Parke. On October 17, 1964 she married Robert Lee Forde in Kahoka, Missouri. He survives.

She was a 38 year resident of Quincy, having moved here from Burlington, IA. Sandra worked as a cashier at the Walgreens store in Hannibal. She worked for Hy-Vee as a cashier, in Burlington, IA. She spent 17 years working for Randall's Foods as a cashier and bookkeeper. Sandra was also a Tupperware dealer. She was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors in addition to her husband include: a son, Richard L. Forde of Johnsburg, IL; 3 daughters, Joyce Ohnemus and her husband Tubby; Jan Liggett and her husband Bob; and Michele Ware and her husband Todd, all of Quincy; 2 brothers, Richard Parke and his wife Peggy of Shellsburg, IA; and Roger Parke of Farmington, IA; 2 sisters, Patricia Wagner of Burlington, IA; and Betty Biddenstadt of Keokuk, IA; 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services: 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, with the Chaplain Steve Disseler officiating.

Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.

Burial: 2:00 p.m. Graveside services Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at Athens Cemetery in Athens, MO.
