She was born August 2, 1928 in Basco, Illinois the daughter of Virgil and Alice Anderson Neill. On December 29, 1946 she married Roswell Dierking in West Point, Illinois. He preceded her in death on April 5, 1982.

She graduated in 1946 from Bowen High School as Valedictorian. Mrs. Dierking spent 25 years working in the trucking industry as a secretary, dispatcher and general manager. She worked for several companies, including Burlington Northern and Churchill. She retired from Churchill in 1994. During her retirement years, she enjoyed volunteering for the Red Cross.

Mrs. Dierking was a member of Bethel Assembly of God since 1953.

Survivors include two sons: Douglas Dierking and his wife, Connie, of Quincy; and Brian Dierking and his wife, Cindy, of Chatham, IL; three grandchildren: Karma Dierking of St. Louis, MO; Kasey Dierking of Quincy; and Kyle Dierking of Tulsa, OK; three sisters: Dorothy Oats of Moline, IL; Kathleen Stout of Galesburg, IL; and Phyllis Roate of Galesburg, IL; and a brother, Donald Neill of Peoria, IL.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Clair Neill.

Graveside services: Thursday, June 19, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at West Point Cemetery with Mr. Jerry Doyle officiating.

Visitation: Wednesday from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.

Memorials: Bethel Assembly of God Children and Youth Program.
