Ronald V. Brace, age 64, of 1421 Elmwood
Dr. North, died Friday, June 6, 2008 at 3:13 p.m. in Blessing Hospital.![]() He was born June 15, 1943 in Hannibal, Missouri the son of Verne R. and Zelma Johnson Brace. On November 23, 1962 he married Mary Liz Wlecke at Salem Evangelical United Church of Christ in Quincy, Illinois. She survives. This month he would have retired from Ameren/CIPS after 40 years of service. Ronald enjoyed woodworking, and in his spare time he made small pieces of furniture and other knick knacks. He also enjoyed camping and spending time with family and friends. He was a member of the Twin Oaks Club and the IBEW Local 702. In addition to his wife, survivors include two children: Steve Brace and his wife, Robin, of Omaha, NE; and Kelley Brace of Orlando, FL; a grandson, Ryan Brace of Omaha, NE; and a brother, Douglas Brace of Quincy. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Sharon Dorriety. Services: Tuesday, June 10, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. in Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with the Rev. Roger Selves officiating. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation: Monday, June 9 from 4-7 p.m. at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.
