She was born October 12, 1935 in Tipler, Wisconsin the daughter of William and Rachel Grenadine Howell. In 1981 she married Lealan Williams in Jacksonville, Illinois. He survives.

She worked at Abbott Laboratories in North Chicago, Illinois as a lab technician. She moved to Hull in 1997. She attended the Hull Community Church.

In addition to her husband, survivors include: a daughter, Jody Hitchcock and her husband, Jeff, of Stoughton, WI; six grandchildren: Amber Luitze and Bret Luitze of Palmyra, MO; Bryan Luitze and his wife, Jenniffer of Kenosha, WI; and Joshua, Jared and Jlynn Hitchcock of Stoughton, WI; two great-grandchildren: Bryan Luitze II and James Addin Luitze, both of Kenosha, WI; a sister, Rachel Koerthe of Kenosha, WI; and a brother, Wesley Howell and his wife, June, of Long Lake, WI.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Theresa Van Vleck; three brothers: Lester, Billy and John Howell; and a sister, Sylvia

Services: Tuesday, August 5, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. in All Faiths Chapel of the Illinois Veterans' Home with the Rev. John Adams officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery.

Visitation: Tuesday, August 5 from 10-11 a.m. at All Faiths Chapel.
