He was born June 1, 1928 in El Dorado, Arkansas the son of Paul and Annie McCormick Germann. On August 12, 1950 he married Adra F. Wear in Troy, Missouri. She preceded him in death on September 11, 2001.

He worked at Electric Wheel for 20 years as a welder. Paul loved to fish and camp and was also an avid gardener.

Survivors include: 2 sons, Paul M. Germann and his wife Marylou of Lynn Haven, FL; and Mark A. Germann and his wife Diane of Plainville, IL; 2 grandchildren, Becky Crider and her husband Mike of Lynn Haven, FL; and Jennifer Rece and her husband Cory of Burton, IL; 4 great-grandchildren, Jade Johnson and Isabella Crider of Lynn Haven, FL; and Haley and Jace Damon of Burton, IL; 3 sisters, MaryAnn Genzling of Monahan, TX; Gladys "Happy" Parker of Spring Town, TX; and Betty Crim and her husband Harold of Plainville, IL; 1 brother, Johnny Germann and his wife Jean of West Point, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews. .

In addition to his wife he was preceeded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Fred and Bill Germann.

Funeral Services: Friday, July 25, 2008, at 1:30 p.m. in Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with the Rev. Wanda Seydel officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery in Plainville, IL.

Visitation: Thursday, July 24, 4-7 p.m. at Hansen-Spear.
