Robert E. Stephenson, age 70, of 4131 Country Meadows Lane, died Monday, January 21, 2008 at 12:50 p.m. in Blessing Hospital.

He was born September 8, 1937 in Quincy, the son of Joseph and Viola Wuenderman Stephenson. On August 9, 1958 he married Wanda Griesbaum in Taylor, Missouri. This August marks their 50th wedding anniversary. She survives.

He was a 1956 graduate of Quincy High School. He was employed by Schneidman's/Haubrich Enterprises Inc. for over 20 years. He then worked as a salesman for Consumer Sales. Robert was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and boating. He also had a love of old cars.

In addition to his wife, survivors include four children: Brad Stephenson; Lisa Dochterman and her husband, Jeff; Lorie Minor; and Bobbette Gallaher and her husband, Jeff, all of Quincy; seven grandchildren: Joe and Brandon Stephenson, both of Florida, Jessie Muse and her husband, Tommy, of Quincy; Derrick Minor and his wife, Robin, of Quincy; Joshua Dochterman and his wife, Susie, of Chesapeake Bay, VA; and Gwendolyn and Gavin Gallaher, both of Quincy; two great-grandchildren; two brothers: John Stephenson of Quincy; and Daryl Stephenson and his wife, Mercedes, of St. Louis, MO; and his cat, Fluffy. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Services: Friday, January 25, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. in Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Francis officiating. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

Visitation: Thursday, January 24 from 4-7 p.m.
