She was born March 15, 1917 in Quincy, Illinois the daughter of Leo and Zola Howlett Sartori. On January 5, 1934 she married Ralph T. Stegeman in Mt. Sterling, IL. He preceded her in death October 6, 1978.

She was a member of St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church and the Women of the Moose.

Survivors include 2 daughters Carolyn Baldwin of Quincy, Cheryl Hurt and her husband Blair of Waynesville, OH, 5 grandchildren Kevin Hurt of Waynesville, OH, Noel Hurt and his wife Heather of Chesapeake, VA, Angela Hurt of Virginia Beach, VA, Scott Baldwin of Aurora, IL and Brooke Baldwin of Quincy,a great granddaughter, Devin Baldwin of St Augustine, FL, and a great grandson, Jeffrey Hurt of Chesapeake, VA. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son-in-law Rick Baldwin and a sister Lucille Blodgett.

Services will be Friday at 10:00 a.m. in the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with Father Kurt Hartrich, OFM officiating. Burial will be in Quincy Memorial Park. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 until 6 pm at the funeral home. Memorials made to Blessing Foundation for Hospice in her name would be appreciated. Hansen-Spear Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
