Wilma Markillie, 95, formerly
of Quincy died Friday, January 11, 2008 in Melbourne, Florida.
She was born August 25, 1912
in Quincy, Illinois, the daughter of Arthur H. and Jessie E.
Bollan Wielage. She married Carl Markillie, September 27, 1949
in Quincy. He preceded her in death on July 27, 1950.
Mrs. Markillie was employed
for 27 years at St. Mary Hospital in the business office. She
was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church and the Women's Relief
Corps both in Quincy. She was a member of Ascension Catholic
Church in Melbourne, Florida.
Survivors include a brother,
Paul Wielage and 2 sisters, Eleanor Loenning and her husband
Ralph, and Marilyn Higman all of Melbourne, FL; a niece, Lynn
Weinhold and 2 nephews Keith and Jerry Higman. She preceded in
death by her parents, her husband, a sister Carol Wielage and a
baby sister Althea.
Services will be Friday,
January 18, 2008 at 10 a.m. in the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home
with Monsignor Michael Kuse officiating. Visitation will be
Thursday evening from 4-6 p.m. at Hansen-Spear. Burial will be
in Calvary Cemetery. Memorials made to Blessed Sacrament Church
in her name would be appreciated.
