Francis Anthony 'Tony' Quick, age 88
of 1537 Quick Avenue, died Monday, August 25, 2008 at 11:55 p.m. in
North Adams Home.![]() He was born May 26, 1920 in Kansas City, Missouri the son of Stella Jean Bazzal Quick. On March 25, 1944 he married LaRuba Maxine Penny in Kansas City, MO. She survives. Tony was a member and a deacon of the First Southern Baptist Church, a life member of D.A.V., a member of the Gideon Bible Society, and a charter member of the Refrigeration Service Engineering Society (R.S.E.S.), where he served for five years as director. Tony served in the U.S. Air Force in World War II in the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre. He was employed by T.F. Ehrhardt as a sales engineer until his retirement. In his spare time, Tony was an avid golfer and bowler. Survivors, in addition to his wife, include: two daughters, Lynda Carol DeStefano of Quincy, and Jerry Jean Nutter and her husband, Steve, of Liberty; four grandchildren: Jestun Charles Nutter of Lincoln, IL; Misty Lee Nutter of Quincy; Michael Anthony Quick of Gainesville, FL; and Candy Elaine Quick of High Springs, FL; and a daughter-in-law, Regina Quick of High Springs, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Michael Jon Quick. Graveside Services: Thursday, August 28, 2008 at 10 a.m. at Sunset Cemetery with the Rev. Tom Raines officiating.
