Ronald E. Fisk, age 89, of 1529 South 30th, died Friday, January 12, 2007 at 1:23 pm in Blessing Hospital.He was born July 16, 1917 in Brasher Falls, NY the son of Nelson Edward and Martha Fisk. On February 20, 1937 he married Mabel Rose Buhrmaster in Tucson, AZ. She preceded him in death on March 20, 2004.He was a graduate of Union College in Brasher, NY with a degree in electrical engineering. He worked for G.E. in Syracuse, NY for 25 years until his retirement. He moved to Quincy and began working for Harris Corporation where he worked for 33 years until his second retirement. Ron was an avid jogger and played racquetball. He enjoyed fishing, dancing, boating, sailing, skiing and traveling all over the US and the world, and was a people person.Survivors include his daughter Jeanette Rardon and her husband David, Quincy; a son, Jim Fisk, Indianapolis, IN, and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a twin brother Ryan.Services will be Monday, January 15, 2007 at 1 pm in the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with Rev. George Tomko. Visitation will be Sunday from 3-5 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Quincy Memorial Park. Memorials made to Alzheimer's Association, American Heart Association or the National Kidney Foundation in his name would be appreciated. |
