Ralph Orin Jorgenson , age 77, of 4928 Lake Ridge, Quincy, died Thursday, February 8, 2007 at 6:50 p.m. in Blessing Hospital.He was born November 4, 1929 in Warren, Minnesota the son of Jens James and Mary Methaney Jorgenson. On April 18, 1952 he married Evelyn Wegge in Holt, MN. She survives.Mr. Jorgenson served in the Air Force during World War II and was a member of the American Legion and Christ Lutheran Church. He was an air traffic controller with the Federal Aviation Authority in numerous locations including Great Falls, MT, Grand Forks, N.D., Omaha, NE and Columbus, NE where he retired in 1989.Survivors include a daughter, Dr. Pamela Walter and her husband Joseph of Sugarland, TX a son, Dr. Michael Jorgenson and his wife Jana of Quincy, 6 grandchildren Dr. Michele Jorgenson of Tampa, FL, Dr. Lyric Jorgenson of Minneapolis, MN, Keith Pieper of Davis, CA, Jason Pieper of Ames, Iowa, Kylee and Ry Walter of Sugarland, TX, and a great grandson Sam James of Tampa, FL; and 8 brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Renae and a brother Gaylord.Services will be Monday, February 12, 2007 at 2 P.M at Christ Lutheran Church with the Rev. Paul Schwartzkopf officiating. Visitation will be at the time of services. Inurnment will be at a later date. Memorials made to Christ Lutheran Church in his name would be appreciated. |
