Charlene Lydia Edwards, age 71 of 2501 Cedar died Wednesday, February 21, 2007 at 5:35 p.m. in her home.She was born September 1, 1935 in Peoria, Illinois the daughter of Charles and Florence Kupferschmid Davidson. On October 21, 1962 she married William Lee Edwards in Quincy. He preceded her in death on August 8, 2000.She was a 1953 graduate of Dunlap High School in Peoria. She worked for many years at Adams County Homemaker Health Service. She loved her flowers and her plants, and she enjoyed chatting with her friends and family. Charlene never let anything get her down.Survivors include a son, Charles "Chuck" Edwards and his wife, Mary, of Quincy; a daughter, Sara Tatham and her husband, Kevin, of Naperville, IL; a grandson, William Tatham of Naperville, IL; two brothers: Marvin Davidson and his wife, Judy, and Russell Davidson and his wife, Alice, and a sister, Marilyn Davidson. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents.Services will be Monday, February 26, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. in Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with the Rev. Joseph Evers officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, February 25 from 4-7 p.m. at the fnueral home. Burial will be in Ellington Home Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Quincy Senior Center or Blessing Dialysis. |
