Ola Mae Dennison, age 89, formerly of 2328 St. Charles, in Quincy, died Thursday, February 8, 2007 at 7:27 p.m. in Parkway Manor Nursing Home in Marion, IL.

She was born February 7, 1918, in Kirksville, Missouri the daughter of Aaron and Ova McDowell Gregory. On August 28, 1935 she married Everett Newton Dennison in Quincy He preceded her in death on June 13, 1994.

Mrs. Dennison was employed by Intermantional Shoe Company for 10 years, employed by Motorola for 2 years and for 8 years at Harris before her retirement. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and a former member of South Side Boat Club. Mrs. Dennison was an avid camper and fisherman.

Survivors include a son, Gary E. Dennison and his wife Nancy of Carterville, IL, 2 grandsons, Kenneth Dennison of St. Louis, MO, and Craig Dennison of Carterville, IL, a granddaughter, Kimberly Stearns and her husband Jimmy of Makanda, IL, 5 great grandchildren Jacob Dennison and his mother Cheryl of St. Louis, MO, Ashlyn and Cole Dennison of Mendon, IL, Jaden Stearns of Makanda and Noah Dennison and his mother Desiree of Carterville. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 5 brothers Henry, Willard, Robert, Cecil and Glen and 5 sisters Fern, Hazel, Susie, Ethel and a sister in infancy.

Services will be Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Livengood officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from noon until 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Quincy Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
