Leta Cook , age 61 of 2603 Larch Rd., died Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at 3:10 a.m. in her home.She was born November 29, 1945 in Quincy, Illinois the daughter of Charles and Freda Bentley Fisher. On December 5, 1964 she married Milton Cook in Quincy. He survives.Mrs. Cook was a 1963 graduate of Quincy High School. She was a homemaker and also had worked as a retail cook at Casey's General Store on No. 24th Street for 20 years.Survivors include, 3 sons Milton Edward Cook; Troy Lee Cook and his wife, Dawn, of Quincy; and Gregory Charles Cook and his wife, Sandra, of Taylor, MO; 8 grandchildren: Malinda, Troy Jr., Becky, Alyssa, Grace and Jarod Cook all of Quincy, and Gregory, Jr. and Thomas Cook of Taylor, MO; 3 sisters Betty Hessling, Helen Berry and Carolyn Brown all of Quincy; 2 brothers John and Gary Fisher both of Quincy. She was preceded in death by her parents.Services will be Friday, February 16, 2007, at 10 a.m. in the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Memorials made in Leta's name to Ladies of Charity or to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated. |
