| Esther E. Peters a lifelong resident of the Quincy area
passed away at the age 91 on December 21, 2007.
She and her late husband Earl ( 1915-1995) lived the last 48 of their
60 years together on a farm in Melrose Township. She and her husband
developed and operated Melrose Mobile Home Park, and were also known for
their hobby, The Gold Star Stage, a miniature stagecoach pulled by 4
Shetland Ponies.
Mrs. Peters is survived by her son Carroll Peters and his wife
Marilyn of Manchester, TN, and by two grandchildren, Matthew Peters of
Fort Collins, CO and Ami Bird of Somerville, TN. Also surviving are four
grandchildren, Katrina, Erik and Kerry Peters of Fort Collins, and Adam
Lucas of Somerville.
Services will be Friday, December 28, 2007, at 1:30 p.m at
Hansen-Spear Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday evening from
4-7pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery. The
family requests that those who wish to send flowers should instead make
a memorial to the Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org). Hansen-Spear
Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
