Shirley A. Kline, age 63 of 5420 Lyter Rd., died Thursday,
April 26, 2007 at 3:55 p.m. in Blessing Hospital.
She was born October 19, 1943 in Quincy,
Illinois the daughter of Arthur and Yoisha Reynolds Sprinkle.
Shirley was a 1961 graduate of Quincy High School and a 1977 graduate of John Wood
College Nursing School. She had worked as an L.P.N. at St. Mary Hospital and Christian
Shelter Center. She retired August 10, 1994 from Transitions where she was a case worker.
Shirley attended The Crossing.
Survivors include, 3 sons Randy Kline and his wife Angela, Darrin Kline and his wife
Heidi, and Greg Kline all of Quincy, a daughter, Rebecca Tournear of Quincy, 8
grandchildren Haley and Robert Tournear, Alec & Reese Kline, Amber, Miranda and Jacob
Kline, and Meagan Ledbetter, 3 brothers Tom Sprinkle and his wife Betty of Quincy, Roger
Sprinkle and his wife Jackie of Quincy, and Frank Sprinkle of Ellington, FL, 2 sisters
Lavon Linder of Quincy, Arlene Niccum and her husband Bud of Kirksville, MO, a former
son-in-law Robert Tournear, Jr., and she is also survived by her dog Gizmo. She was
preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers William Jay and Larry Sprinkle
Services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with the Rev.
Sonny Woollard officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral
home. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Memorials made to the charity of the donor's
choice in her name would be appreciated.
