He was born December 20, 1944
in Quincy, Illinois the son of Darrell and Ruby Johnston Dimmitt. On June 3rd, 1997 he was
born again by placing his faith in Jesus Christ. On September 5, 1965 he married Cathye
Schatz in Quincy, Illinois. She survives.
Mr. Frisbie served in the U. S. Army for 25 years--from 1962 to 1987. He was a well
decorated soldier and served with valor in Vietnam, Korea, West Germany and in the U.S. He
was a member of Columbus Road Baptist Church. He enjoyed his grandchildren, bingo,
wrestling and his trip to McDonalds every day for coffee.
Survivors include, 3 children Paul Frisbie and his wife Liana of Rogers, AR, Angela
Dillinger and her husband Dennis of Quincy, Jennifer Golay and her husband Kevin of
Chillicothe, IL, 10 grandchildren Candace, Joshua, Liana Grace and Brandon Frisbie of
Rogers, AR, Kathleen, Amber and Kayla Kennedy of Quincy, Steffanie, Scott and Alex Golay
of Chillicothe, brothers and sisters Fontella McClain and her husband Tim of Hannibal, MO,
Peggy Pullam of Quincy, Cathy Cornett and her husband Cliff of Quincy, Paula Wilkin and
her husband Dan of Springfield, MO, David Dimmitt and his wife Marie of Ft. Lauderdale,
Fl, Ricky Dimmitt and his wife Patty of Quincy and numerous nieces and nephews and his dog
Molly. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law Butch Pullam.
Services will be Wednesday, at 10:30 a.m. in Columbus Road Baptist Church with Pastor
Bob Cowman officiating and Glenn's son Rev. Paul Frisbie, giving the message. Visitation
will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m.at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home. Burial will be in
Greenmount Cemetery. Memorials made to the American Cancer Society in his name would be
appreciated.
