Clinton E. Davis, age 40,
of 1630 Chestnut after a prolonged battle with muscular dystrophy went to be with His Lord
and Savior on Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at 3:50 p.m. in Blessing Hospital.
He was born June 20, 1966 in Quincy, Illinois the son of Kenneth Earnest and Rita
Cramsey Davis.
He was a 1984 Quincy High School graduate. He had a large collection of Harley
Memorabilia, and collected remote control cars. He enjoyed music, computers and T.V.;
especially the Discovery Channel, the History Channel, T.V. Land, and various religious
programs. He also enjoyed listening to Rush Limbaugh and Bill O'Reilly. But, above all he
loved his country and all the men and women that serve in its military. He enjoyed being
with his family and his nieces and nephews.
Survivors include his mother, a sister, Janet Leeds and her husband Dan of Quincy; 4
brothers, Randy Davis and his wife Cherlyn, Maywood, MO, Terry Davis and his wife Mary of
Browns Mills, NJ, Doug Davis, Quincy, and Joe Davis and his wife Shari, Quincy; five
nieces, Stacy Houghton and her husband Joe, Suzie Leeds, and Brooke Snider, all of Quincy,
Michelle Downing and her husband Jim, Champaign, IL, and Malissa O'Hara and her husband
Danny, Mt. Holly, NJ; three nephews, Cory Davis and his wife Jessica, Justin Davis and
Josh Snider, all of Quincy; one great niece, Madisyn Echevarria, Mt. Holly, NJ, and one
great nephew, Corbin Davis, Quincy; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded
in death by his father and grandparents.
Services will be Saturday, April 21, 2007 at 11:00 am in Hansen-Spear Funeral Home
with the Rev. Mickey Farlow officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 10 - 11 am at
the funeral home. Memorials made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association or Blessing
Foundation in his name would be appreciated.
