Andrew R. "Andy" Tenhouse , age 21 of 1724 North 1073rd Lane, Liberty, IL, died Friday, September 22, 2006 at 2:15 pm in rural Liberty.

He was born December 29, 1984 in Quincy, IL the son of Arthur and Sharon Roberts Tenhouse.

Andy attended the Illinois Math and Science Academy and was a 2003 Liberty High School graduate. He was attending John Wood Community College and had been accepted at SIU Carbondale. He worked on the family farm. Andy was a member of FFA, Wenois Field Archers, a 10 year member of the Burton Flyers 4-H Club, and attended National 4-H Congress where he was a national winner of the Natural Resources Award in 2003. He loved the outdoors, and loved to water ski, scuba dive, bow hunt, and fish. Andy was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his parents; his sister, Katie Richard and husband, Doug of Seattle, WA; his brother, Adam Tenhouse of Liberty; his maternal grandmother, Lois Roberts Bell and husband, Milton of Paxton, IL, and a special friend, Ashley Wolf of Quincy. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Robert and Bonnie Tenhouse and his maternal grandfather, Clifford Roberts.

Services will be Tuesday, September 26, 2006, at 11:00 am at the Calvary Baptist Church, 19th and State Street, with Rev. Scott Swigart officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 4-7 pm at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Quincy Memorial Park. Memorials made to Andy Tenhouse 4-H Memorial Fund or the Liberty Education Foundation in his name would be appreciated
