Edith Mae Pfaffe

Edith Mae Pfaffe, age 89, of Quincy, went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, September 8, 2006 at 12:40 pm in the home of her daughter at 410 Yule Ct., Quincy.

She was born November 27, 1916 in Coldwater, Kansas the daughter of William and Mary Matticks. On April 10, 1937 she married Emil G. Pfaffe Palmyra, MO. He preceded her in death on December 24, 1970.

She was 1936 Quincy High School graduate and worked for Brower Mfg for 5 years. She was employed by Motorola for 24 years until they closed. She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. Edith loved to sew and cook for her family. She was very generous and giving to people in need.

Survivors include two daughters, Ruth Ann Snowden and her husband Howard L, and Amy E. Smith; two grandchildren, Michael David Pellman and his wife Carol, and Amy Louann Killday and her husband Thomas; two great-grandchildren, Wade Logan Pellman and Samuel Jordan Killday, all of Quincy; two step grandsons, James H. Snowden of Quincy, and Samuel H. Snowden of Chicago, IL: one step great grandson, Jacob Thomas Killday of Quincy; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Ruth McKinstry.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 11 am in the Greenmount Cemetery, Rev. Larry Troxel officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30 am - 11:00 am at the cemetery. Memorials given to Blessing Foundation for Hospice in her name would be appreciated.
