Darlene M. Lahan , age 75 of 835 Adams, died Monday, September 18, 2006 at 6:53 a.m. in Blessing Hospital.She was born June 19, 1931 in Bowen, Illinois the daughter of Chris and Fannie Johnson Post.Darlene was a graduate of Bowen High School and was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. She was first employed by Moorman Mfg. Co. and worked as a bookkeeper in the billing department of P and S Clinic and St. Mary Hospital. When she retired she was the manager of Tri County Country Club in Plymouth, IL. Darlene was a fun loving person who loved people, loved life and had an outgoing personality.Survivors include a daughter, Darla Bowen and her husband, Ollie R. of Quincy; two sisters: Ellie Bowles and her husband, Ronnie of Mendon, IL; and Reva Ehmen and her husband, Larry of Quincy; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Roger L. "Bud" Post; two sisters: Erma Buss and Lois McMahan; and a nephew, Menard "Skip" Buss.Services will be Thursday, September 21, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. in Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with the Rev. Larry Troxel officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 20, 4-7 p.m. at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home. Burial will be in Golden Memorial Gardens in Golden, IL. Memorials made to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in her name would be appreciated. |
