Ruby M. Goodwin, age 97, of 2408 Chatten Dr., Quincy died on Thursday, September 14, 2006 at 3:50 a.m. in her residence.She was born January 12, 1909 in Stillwater, Oklahoma the daughter of Chancellor William and Julia May Wolfe Brower. On June 5, 1927 she married James O. Goodwin in Philadelphia, MO. He preceded her in death on October 30, 1997.She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.Survivors include 2 daughters, Oneta Crandall and her husband Robert of Quincy, and Mary Jones and her husband Robert of Etowah, N.C., a grandson, Geoffrey Jones of Mauldin, S.C., and a granddaughter, Suzette Renee' Morgan and her husband Robert of Penrose, N.C., and a nephew Richard D. Wood , whom she raised from his early childhood, and his wife Rosemary, along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers Raymond and Earl Brower, and 2 sisters Irene Redmon and Myrtle Wood.Services will be Monday afternoon at 2 pm in Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with the Rev. L.D. Grant officiating. Burial will be in Bethany Baptist Cemetery near Philadelphia, MO. Visitation will be Monday from noon until the time of services at the funeral home. Memorials made to Calvary Baptist Church or Blessing Foundation for Hospice in Ruby's name would be appreciated. |
