Richard E. Bosse, age 73, of the Illinois Veterans' Home, formerly of 2054 Sycamore, Quincy, died on Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at 2:06 a.m. at Blessing Hospital.He was born October 13, 1932 in Quincy, Illinois, the son of Milton Fred and Ella Bessling Bosse. On October 15, 1953, he married Mary Ellen Holmes in Luther Memorial Church. She preceded him in death on May 30, 1992.Mr. Bosse retired from Moorman Manufacturing after 30 years as an assistant foreman in the shipping department. He was a Korean war veteran & he enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf, camping & playing cards.Survivors include a son, Michael R. Bosse and his wife, Lisa of Katy, TX; 2 daughters, Susan M. Allen & her husband Steve of Quincy; and Lynn E. Alderton & her husband Larry, Wyaconda, MO; 6 grandchildren: James Leezer of Wyaconda, MO; Kirby & Kendall Bosse of Katy, TX; and Ian, Danny & Carrie Allen of Quincy. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Milton & Ralph Bosse & 1 sister, Verona Mewes.Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with the Rev. John Adams officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial in Greenmount Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Lamoine Christian Service Camp. |
