Marcus Shawn Amos, age 12 of 3722 Stonegate Rd., died Monday, September 4, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in Blessing Hospital Emergency Room.He was born February 10, 1994 in the son of Oscar Amos, Jr. and Kimberley Miller. Keri Welch was his legal guardian.Marcus had just started Quincy Junior High. He loved basketball, music, fishing, animals, video games and going to the creek to catch frogs, tadpoles, and turtles. He also enjoyed riding his bike and spending time with his friends.Survivors also include, 4 sisters Natasha Miller, Cheyanne Williams, Kendra Traywick, LeDaria Traywick of all of Quincy; 2 brothers LaMonte Amos of Peoria; Mustafa Hakim Jabar of Brooklyn Park, MN; maternal grandmother, Nancy Miller of Chicago; paternal grandmother, Jane Porch of Chicago; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his his paternal grandfather Oscar Amos, Sr.Graveside services will be Thursday, September 7, 2006, at 12 noon in Greenmount Cemetery with the Pastor Randy Pate officiating. Memorials made to the sibling children's fund in his name would be appreciated. |
