James "Jim" Leezer , age 57, of 1809 Melodie Ct., died Friday, October 6, 2006 at 10:45 p.m. in his home.He was born April 6, 1949 in Macomb, Illinois the son of George and Carol Mesecher Ingles. On June 18, 1983 he married Lynn Bosse in Charlotte, NC.He was a 1967 graduate of Quincy High School and attended Quincy University. In 1968 he served in the U.S. Army for seven months until he received a medical discharge. He was employed as an application engineer for 33 years at Gardner Denver until his retirement in 2003. He was a life time member of Twin Oaks Club. He loved NASCAR, sports, and boating. He enjoyed spending time with family, especially his son, James. Jim had a wonderful sense of humor and he was made of 95% humor - right up until the end.Survivors include: his loving life partner, Linda J. Taber of Quincy; his son, James Leezer of Everett, WA; his mother, Carol Leezer of Quincy; 2 sisters, Ronda Leezer and Donna Leezer and her friend, J.P. Morgan, all of Quincy; the mother of his son, Lynn Alderton and her husband Larry of Wyaconda, MO; an uncle, Edgar "Bud" Mesecher and his friend Charlene of Galesburg, IL; cousin, Dwayne Mesecher and his wife Sue of Galesburg, IL, and many other cousins and friends. He was also preceded in death by his father George Ingles and his adoptive father Leslie LeezerServices will be Tuesday, October 10, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. in Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with the Rev. Ernest Deatrick officiating. Visitation will be Monday evening from 4-7 p.m at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Memorials made to Blessing foundation for Hospice or the American Cancer Society in Jim's name would be greatly appreciated. |
