Mary Lynn Lacey, age 59, of 1813 South Granview, died Sunday, October 22, 2006 at 7:14 p.m. in her home.She was born April 25, 1947 in Quincy, Illinois the daughter of Russ and Evelyn Frese Terwelp. She married Robert Piorkowski on January 23, 1971 in Quincy and he preceded her in death on November 14, 1980. She married Donald E. Lacey on April 20, 2000 in Quincy, and he preceded her in death on September 25, 2005.She was a graduate of Notre Dame High School in 1965. Mary worked for Turner Auto Supply until they closed, and was currently working at Merkel's as a bookkeeper and office manager.She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church. Mary was an avid gardener and loved to spend time with her grandchildren.Survivors include two daughters, Anne Hufford and her husband Randy of Quincy, IL, and Sarah Schmidt and her husband Andy of St. Louis, MO; 4 grandchildren, Brittany, Destiny and Colton Hufford of Quincy, and Hannah Schmidt of St. Louis, MO; a sister, Ann Abel and her husband Ron of Quincy; 2 brothers, Ralph Terwelp and his wife Becky of Columbia, MO, and David Terwelp of Tulsa, OK; 6 nieces and nephews, Steffanie Abel of Columbia, MO, Kley Abel and his wife Jaclyn of Lombard, IL and their son, Andrew; Rachel, Rusty, Hannah and Alex Terwelp, all of Columbia, MO; 2 step children, Jebby Arnold of Rockville, MD and Don Lacey, Jr. of New York, NY. She was also preceded in death by her parents.Services will be Thursday, October 26, 2006, at 11:00 am in St. John's Episcopal Church with the Father Jim Derbyshire officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 25 from 4-7 pm at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery. Memorials made to St. John's Episcopal Church in her name would be appreciated. |
